Read my YA Fiction ‘Heat’ on Swoonreads

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all well and moving towards your goals. I’m still busy at work with life and writing (Yeh, I know my life should be my writing and writing should be my life … Not sure my children agree though!) and I know I haven’t really dedicated anytime to this blog or any online activities really. So I have a little treat for you all … Today I decided to upload one of my books to Swoon Reads.

It’s Young Adult Fiction and it fits the criteria for the site so I’ll see how it goes there. This was one of my first stories and I have actually started working on a sequel so I hope you enjoy it.

If you want to read it go over to https://www.swoonreads.com/m/heat-4/  You will need to register with the site first. There are tons of other books there if you like YA fiction so if you enjoy reading online you’ll enjoy the website. You can also leave comments and ratings and maybe help one of the authors have their story published.

Heat

Claudia’s childhood has been far from that of a normal girl. Separated from her family and born with an ability that allows her to control heat, she has often found it hard to fit in.

After being rejected by various foster carers, Claudia is finally sent to live in a research facility where she quickly learns that some people are more interested in exploiting her abilities than helping her. After her only friend at the facility, Dr. John, is found dead she decides to go on a search for more people like her, which ultimately leads her to her true father.

Finally accepted, Claudia must now learn to trust those who try to befriend her amongst whom is a popular and handsome boy named Solomon. Could his interest in her truly be as genuine as he wants her to believe, or could opening her heart to him lead to her downfall?

Read it now over at Swoon Reads.

Liz.

  1. Hi Elizabeth,

I read your story over on swoonreads, and I think it is really great, I loved it, and all the characters are really interesting especially Claudia, I liked Emily because she really reminded me of my older sister and her best friend, and I think Michael and Solomon are very funny too, I would like to know more about Peter though.

    P.S
Will there be a part two

    Thanks Alika

    • Hi Alika,

Thanks for the feedback. I’m really glad you enjoyed the story and the characters. Yes, there should be a part two and there will be a bit more from Peter also. I’ll be sure to let you know it’s ready.
      Thanks again.
      Liz.
